Conejo Simi Swim Club Registration Procedure:

1. Contact the Club by E-mail:

Evaluations are done at Rancho-Simi Pool from 4:00pm - 6:00pm

Evaluations are done at the CLU Pool 5:00-6:00pm

2. The Evaluation:

In your communications, the contact will setup an evaluation time for your swimmer. The evaluation will determine which group would best suit your child. If they are unable to meet the requirements of our groups we will recommend a swim lesson program from one of aquatic partners (CSSC does not provide swim lessons).

Come to the pool ready to swim with swim suit, and goggles (and cap if the swimmer has long hair). The Evaluation is 3 to 5 minutes long. In the evaluation, the coach will observe the 4 strokes and possibly ask for a demonstration of turns and/or dives (depending on the level of the swimmer).

If a swimmer is unable to swim freestyle and backstroke for 25 yards, then we will recommend the child to swim lessons. Our groups are designed for swimmers that are able to swim on their own power on both their back and stomach.

Evaluations are not based on speed of the swimmer, but are only based upon execution of proper strokes and racing skills. Age is a consideration for some of our groups, but we believe that a swimmer should be developed in the proper sequence to maximize their long term potential.
