CSSC Athletes Ready to Compete on Home Turf at SCS Junior Olympics at CLU

This summer, Conejo Simi Swim Club has the unique honor of hosting the Southern California Swimming Summer Junior Olympics Competition, and CSSC athletes are ready to compete on their home turf against Southern California’s best age group swimmers.  CLU will be the site of the five-day competition, which kicks off Thursday, July 29th and ends with relay day on Monday, August 2nd.  More than 1,200 swimmers from Southern California and Nevada are expected to participate in the event.
 
Thirty-four CSSC athletes have qualified to compete in individual events: Aly Abernathy, J.D. Abernathy, Alex Agopyan-Miu, Anita Agopyan-Miu,Trenton Atkinson, Hannah Barthmuss, Kyle Berg, Jordan Capper, Alisa Cooke, Ian Cox, Sara Christiansen, Taylor Croissant, Anthony DeVetis, Kaitlyn Drennan, Dylan Duimovich, Alex Feldman, Allie Fogleman, Beach Fogleman, Denise Gonzales, Matt Gordon, Monika Gyalay, Shannyn Hultin, Olivia Hynes, Yu-Bin Kim, Gabbie Libang, Sam Magnani, Andy Nguyen, Minh Nguyen, Anna Quinn, David Sommers, James Villamayor, Leo Vodantis, Ore Wahnishe and Justin Young.
 
In addition, the following CSSC swimmers will compete in relays: Olivia Anderson, Rachel Atkins, Abby Chopp, Sara Galvan, Tobias Hynes, Parker Jadwin, Adam Manchel, Brooke Miller, Chantel Petty, Denise Tapawan and Lukos Vodantis.
 
The meet promises to be an exciting event for CSSC and the Conejo Valley, as well as a showcase for some fast swimming.  Congratulations to all our qualifiers.
