CSSC's 11-12 Athletes Score Big at Junior Olympics!

Congratulations to our 11-12 athletes - JD Abernathy, Trenton Atkinson, Kyle Hillner, Tobias Hynes, Allie Fogleman, Anita Agopyan-Miu, Gabbie Libang, Abby Chopp, Alisa Cooke, and Wendy McAleer - for comibing to place 23rd at Junior Olympics this past weekend.  85% of our swims were personal best times, and CSSC swimmers scored 103 points along the way - 81 more than last year!

 

Trenton Atkinson led the way for CSSC with 6 best times, placing 7th in the 100 free (54.42p), 8th in the 50 free (25.07p), 9th in the 50 fly (27.85), and 13th in the 200 free (2:01.09).  All of these swims earned him Southern California Swimming Reportable Times.  Trenton also placed 14th in the 100 IM (1:05.45p).

 

Allie Fogleman placed 9th in the 500 free (5:26.29), SCSRT.  Allie swam 7 personal bests over the weekend. 

 

Anita Agopyan-Miu placed 14th in the 50 free (26.58p), SCSRT, and 16th in the 100 free (57.92p).  Anita also swam a SCSRT in the 50 fly (27.38), and had 4 best times.

 

Alisa Cooke's times in the 50 free (26.80) and 50 fly (29.30) earned her SCSRTs, and her 100 fly (1:04.70) was a new TEAM RECORD!  Alisa swam a total of 6 best times. 

 

Gabbie Libang (3), Abby Chopp (3), JD Abernathy (6), and Kyle Hillner (2) combined for a total of 14 best times.

 

Relays teams of Libang, Cooke, Fogleman, and Agopyan-Miu swam to 6th place in the 400 Free Relay, and 13th in the 200 Free and 400 Medley Relays.  Chopp, Wendy McAleer, Cooke, and Libang combined to swim the 200 Medley Relay and placed 12th.
