Best times, new JO qualfiers, team record broken at Grand Prix and RMSC meets!

Congratulations to all CSSC athletes on their performaces in Long Beach and Oxnard.

 

Shannyn Hultin placed 23rd in the 200 breaststroke, and 400 IM at Southern California's Grand Prix meet, bringing home best times in both events. Cameron Hargitai placed 22nd in the 1650 with a time of 16:19.

 

Abigail Smith, Alyssa Libang, Savannah Escobar, Kasey Nguyen, Denise Gonzales, Rachel Kilpatrick, Alisa Cooke, Gabbie Libang, Allie Fogleman, Olivia Anderson, Kim Linscott, Monika Gyalay, Chantel Petty, Abby Chopp, Denisse Tapawan, Hannah Smith, Anita Agopyan-Miu, Wendy McAleer, Olivia Hynes, Nikole Luk, Keri Clark, Lucinda Laurence, Charlotte Laurence, Anna Quinn, McKenzie Ammer, Rebecca Austin, ALy Abernathy, Rachel Atkins, Hannah Barthmuss, Charlene Flores, Julius Gonzalez, Zach Taylor, Luke Taylor, Dominic DeVetis, Trenton Atkinson, JD Abernathy, Tobias Hynes, Kyle Hillner, Justin DesRoches, Andy Nguyen, Kyle Berg, Kevin Clark, Ian Cox, Adam Manchel, Justin Young, David Sommers, Henly Ko, Yu-Bin Kim, Anthony DeVetis, and Matt Gordon all competed at the RMSC Last Chance JO Meet.  Names in bold indicate swimmers who achieved at least one best time.

 

Congrats to ABBY CHOPP for achieving her first JO time standard in the 50 back!

 

Great job to JD Abernathy for adding JO events to his list - 50 free, 50 fly, 100 fly, 200 IM, and 500 free;  and to Alisa Cooke for adding the 50 fly and 500 free, as well as Gabbie Libang adding the 200 and 500 free. 

 

Trenton Atkinson made his 2nd SCSRT time in the 100 free with a time of 56.25, and also qualified for JOs in the 100 IM.

 

Gabbie Libang and Allie Fogleman tied in the 200 back AND broke the team record in doing so!  The 11-12 girls swam in different heats and both recorded a time of 2:28.69, breaking the previous record of 2:30.89 set by current CSSC swimmer Shannyn Hultin in 2006.  Way to go!
